'The House of the Rising Sun' is a folk song from the United States. Also called 'House of the Rising Sun' or occasionally 'Rising Sun Blues', it tells of a life gone wrong in New Orleans. Depending on the version, the song may be sung from the perspective of a woman or a man. The 'head in a vise' scene is taken from an anecdote in the book 'Casino' unrelated to the main story, describing mob enforcer Tony Spilotro's interrogation of a low-level gangster named Billy McCarthy, who had committed the unauthorized murder on the Scalvo brothers, a pair of high-ranking mobsters within Spilotro's crime organization. Trying to get McCarthy to give up the identity of the man who helped him kill the Scalvos, Spilotro first beat McCarthy, then stabbed him in the testicles. 'The House of the Rising Sun' is a traditional folk song, sometimes called 'Rising Sun Blues'.It tells of a person's life gone wrong in the city of New Orleans; many versions also urge a sibling or parents and children to avoid the same fate.

Summary[edit edit source]
House of the Rising Sun Hotel is a player base and the first Gektz-Indium hotel to be constructed. The hotel and resort has a maximum occupancy of 8 guests and is exquisitely decorated. The hotel features two landing pads, eight luxurious rooms, an exquisite farm-to-table restaurant, ocean front views, magnificent sunsets, diving excursions, complimentary use of the on-site Nautilon, a business center, friendly staff, and a lounge.
Layout[edit edit source]
The hotel is situated on a small island. On top of the island are two landing pads. These are the new arrivals pads. They lead directly into the lobby, a massive space containing plenty of chairs (the 'lounge') and a check-in desk. The main lobby branches three ways: forward, to the left, and to the right. Below the main floor is the greenhouse and the kitchen. The hotel also has an aquatics center.
Executive Suites Wing[edit edit source]
Forward leads to four Executive Suites, all equipped with a king-sized bed, a TV, and a workspace. This wing juts out well over the water and offers spectacular views of the sunset.
The Left Wing[edit edit source]
The left wing of the hotel contains two separate sections. The right section is where the three Business Suites can be found. They contain single beds and are slightly smaller than the executive suits. Besides that there are few noticeable differences between the two types of room. The right section of the wing contains the business center and the restaurant. The business center houses three trade terminals and four free-to-use computers. The Restaurant, named Le NippNip, is massive and has eight tables (each with two or four chairs), an aquarium, and numerous tasteful statues for ambiance.

The Staff Wing[edit edit source]
The staff wing is small and off limits to guests. It contains a break room and the emergency Biofuel Reactor to keep the base going if the Solar Panels go down.
Greenhouse and Kitchen[edit edit source]
Located via a stairwell behind the restaurant, a small kitchen and greenhouse can be found. In the greenhouse, all manner of plants are grown. An on-site Farmer tends to the plants at all time.
Aquatics Center[edit edit source]
Down by the water's edge (attached to the base via a long staircase) is the aquatics center. It contains a supervisor cubicle, where the on-site Nautilon can be checked out, a pier, and a small chamber that drops down to the Nautilon Geobay below.
Presidential Suite[edit edit source]
The Presidential Suite is the most expansive and exclusive suite in the hotel. It is located just beyond the restaurant and contains a double bed, a TV, ample sitting area, a table for entertaining guests, and a workspace with a computer. The Presidential Suite is reserved for guests of honor and company executives.
